Eckerle internal gear pumps are clearance-compensated and have been used in speed-controlled drives for decades. Their excellent efficiency at low speeds and low dependence on viscosity and temperature result in very good controllability across the entire operating range.
Thanks to their symmetrical design, these EIPQ-type pumps can operate in both directions of rotation, either as a pump or as a motor. Furthermore, in pump mode, the inlet side can also be pressurised. This offers significant potential for energy savings.
