The PA-HD2 Heavy Duty Industrial Actuator provides high-force electric linear motion for demanding machinery and automation applications. Available in 12 VDC and 24 VDC configurations, it offers dynamic force options of 450, 899, and 2,023 lb, with static holding force up to 2,698 lb and stroke lengths from 4 to 40 inches.

Depending on the selected force configuration, no-load speeds range from 0.26 to 1.75 in./sec, while full-load speeds range from 0.24 to 1.50 in./sec. Full-load current ranges from 14 to 18 A for 12 VDC configurations and 7 to 9 A for 24 VDC configurations, making proper electrical system sizing important during integration.

The PA-HD2 features a SUS304 stainless steel stroke shaft, aluminum alloy housing, metal gears, ACME screw, brushed DC motor, mechanical slip-clutch overload protection, and built-in non-adjustable limit switches. Its IP67 rating provides protection against dust and water submersion while the actuator is static. It operates across a temperature range of -10°C to 65°C with a 20% duty cycle.

Progressive Automations lists the PA-HD2 for applications including UTVs and ATVs, snowmobiles, amphibious vehicles, fire trucks, site dumpers, compact excavators, power-assisted wheelbarrows, belt loaders, and compactors. These applications make it particularly relevant for electric positioning, lifting, tilting, extension, and adjustment functions in off-highway vehicles and mobile machinery.

The PA-HD2 is not rated for shock or pulse loads, so application load characteristics should be evaluated before integration.
