Hatz will showcase its newest generation of compact diesel-powered, DC battery chargers and continuous AC power supplies. Updates enhance the proven architecture, with thousands of units successfully deployed in hybrid applications such as off-highway construction equipment, agriculture, military, automotive and marine.

The foundation of each Flywheel Integrated Permanent Magnet Generator (fiPMG) is a Hatz E-1 single-cylinder engine – the smallest electronically controlled J1939 CANbus diesel engine available. The engine is clean diesel, Tier 4 Final Emissions compliant and 50-state legal. The rotor and stator are focally mounted to the front face of the engine, leaving the primary PTO available to drive other applications.

Power is passed through intelligent CANbus inverters featuring selectable DC voltages of 28V or 56V, or AC power in 120V single phase. Clean DC power output allows lithium batteries to be charged directly. Amperage and voltage are dynamically determined by the battery management system (BMS).
