New maintenance-free inline hydraulic pulsation and noise suppressor
)
Wilkes & McLean is an industry leader for compact noise suppression solutions for hydraulic systems, and has been manufacturing an inline bladder-style suppressor for over 30 years. Its suppressors reduce the transmission of pressure ripple in the hydraulic system in a small, lightweight package.
The company has recently developed a new generation of its inline hydraulic suppressor that is completely maintenance free. Wilkes & Mclean’s new Energized Sleeve line of suppressors use a proprietary, hydraulically stable urethane foam to effectively treat hydraulic noise.
The Energized Sleeve suppressors can work as drop-in replacements for the Wilkes & McLean bladder-style suppressors. The Energized Sleeve locally reduces the effective stiffness in the hydraulic system exactly like the bladder in traditional hydraulic suppressors or the expansion chamber in a muffler. As there is no bladder in the Energized Sleeve suppressors, no regular maintenance is required.
