John Tasdemir is Vice President of Engineering & Operations at SAPA Transmission, where he leads the development and implementation of advanced transmission and propulsion systems for military ground vehicles, focused on improving performance, efficiency, and power density for global defense partners. John has over two decades of leadership experience in advanced powertrain and mobility systems, specializing in next-generation propulsion technologies for defense applications. His expertise spans powertrain development, advanced propulsion architectures, vehicle mobility, and cross-functional engineering integration in mission-critical environments. Prior to joining SAPA Transmission, Mr. Tasdemir spent over 26 years with the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), where he held multiple senior leadership roles including Division Chief for Powertrain & Mobility Technology. He has led research, development, and integration efforts for advanced mobility systems across a wide range of ground vehicle platforms, driving innovation in propulsion, durability, and performance optimization.
